November 2021

Presidents Report ImageHello everyone,

I would like to start off my report with my deepest condolences to Buddha's family and friends. He was a part of the AZCMC and a good friend. He will be missed dearly.

Too Broke For Sturgis (TBFS) committee meetings have started. We need you!!! Yes, you too can be a part of helping out. If you have a creative mind, know someone who is an artist or can draw pretty good, or if you know an electrician (or have other contacts of trades people or business owner(s) who might like to become a sponsor) who is also an ABATE member or would like to become an ABATE member and who would be willing to help ask them. Remember the worst you can hear as an answer is "no." We need everyone/anyone to come join the TBFS Committee. There are options: Attend in person at the State ABATE office at the Arizona American Italian Club. The next meeting is Tuesday November 9th at 6:30 pm. Call in. The number is (425)436-6380 and access code is 4616921. Too Broke for Sturgis committee meetings are once a month. As noted above, you don't need to travel to attend the meetings. Attendance can be done by phone. We need all chapters to try to have a couple of people from each chapter to join in. Thanks for all the help.

Next I would like to address Meeting of the Minds. What an awesome experience! I wish all chapters, if possible, put into their budget to send a member from the chapter to attend a conference; Meeting of the Minds or National Coalition of Motorcycle Clubs (NCOM). This year my takeaway from the leadership workshop: What is your first job in your new position????? To find your replacement. This could take time. Look at your members and observe who is someone you can count on. Give the person(s) small tasks to do and build them up. Train them so one day they can do a leadership job. Give them confidence. Help them get involved. There are the talkers and the doers; look for the doers who will get the job done.

Riot on the River is the first weekend in November in Winkleman, AZ. Great camp out! If you have never been you should check it out. There are many events happening throughout Arizona from bike nights to Halloween parties to runs. Please try to support some of your local area chapters on their events.

November 20th is voting for state officers please VOTE!!!! I hope everyone gets a chance to come out to the Arizona American Italian Club, (state office) for some fun. Chapters don't forget to let me know what basket theme your chapter is bringing and bring raffle/auction items. Thank you for your support. If you're planning on eating you must RSVP Mary Kay, so please do so quickly, so she has a count on how much food is needed. Thank you.

I know this is a lot of information but it's good stuff.

January 9, 2022 is a Mandatory officer training. Everyone who takes a position in their chapter must come to training meeting .

That's it for now your President,
