Well, here it is another month. September has a lot happening. Meeting of the Minds will be taking place this month in Indianapolis, Indiana. I could not be happier to announce our ABATE of AZ family member, Christopher Beals, will be receiving the Young Activist Award.
Congratulations Christopher Beals. Thank you for all you do for ABATE of AZ. You rock.
The State Officers have been busy, hard at work behind closed doors while overcoming obstacles. But we are not finished yet. I am happy to say the new Membership Application Trifolds are now being printed. They will be mailed to each Chapter or hand delivered. The State products are in the works as well, and by the end of the year, they should be available for purchase.
I am hoping that all Chapters have gotten the word by now. Riot on the River is taking place November 6th-8th, 2020. The AZCMC has asked that no events or runs be scheduled during this time. They have also asked that each MC or organization belonging to the AZCMC participate by donating an item to be given away at the Riot on the River event. What better way to say who this item came from by donating a basket filled with homemade peach moonshine along with a shot glass from where each Chapter of ABATE of AZ is located. For example, Mohave Chapter could use Golden Valley. This will also have a paid 1-year ABATE of AZ membership included in the basket. If your Chapter would like to include a pin, sticker, or patch in the shot glass, that would be okay too. I need these shot glasses by October 3rd. Please contact me or Lil Bit on how we can gather these items. Thank you for helping to complete this basket.
While at Riot on the River, we will be participating by helping to sell 50/50 tickets. Anyone who would like to support ABATE of AZ by selling tickets with me, I would deeply appreciate your help. Please let me or State Communications know you are able to help me.
We are currently looking for people to help plan the Too Broke for Sturgis 2021 event. The TBFS Committee has started planning and could use your help this year since we had to cancel the 2020 event. This gives us time to start planning earlier and plan bigger. Your fresh ideas are always welcome to bring to the TBFS Committee once-a-month meetings at the AAIC in Phoenix. Contact Disco or Lil Bit for more details. Thank you. This takes a lot of members to step up and make the biggest event that ABATE of AZ puts on happen.
