Lane Filtering has been legal here in
Arizona for a few weeks now and so
far it looks as though it is going well.
I’ve only heard of a few negative incidents, which is great. Keep riding safe.
We have been working on the elections recently. Getting out and meeting
the candidates so they know of
ABATE’s legislative agenda for next
session. If you get a chance to meet
the legislators, city council members
and school board members from your
area, please do.
The more they see our organization attending their events, the more they will listen to us if/when they are elected.
We have the language for our legislative
bills ready for next session. So on
November 9th I will begin the process of
getting sponsors and co-sponsors for our
bills. It’s nice to know we have legislators who support our issues.
We recently awarded Representative
Shawnna Bolick with her “Legislative
Freedom Fighter” award. This is a 3-peat
for her. She has always supported everyone of our bills. Including being the prime sponsor for the Motorcycle Safety Fund extension a few years ago that was passed unanimously. We will miss her in the state legislature but wish her well on her next adventure. She was also gifted an Honorary Life Membership.
